Fan Feedback:
Hi, I have a fitness/weight-loss question. I am 45, am 5’4” tall, and weigh 127. I would like to get back to 120 but am struggling to get there. I work out about 4-5 days a week and usually take walks on the days I don’t go to the gym. I spend most of my workout on strength and do very little cardio. I have a few questions.
1. If I spend 45 minutes in the gym, how much time should be on cardio? What should be my target heart rate during cardio be for weight loss?
2. On my lose it app, I am allowed 1250 calories in order to lose .5 lbs per week. If I burn 250 calories during my workout, should I add those calories to my daily allowance?
3. Are all calories created equal? If I eat 1250 calories of chocolate cake or 1250 calories of lean protein and veggies, does my body look the same?
Thank you for any guidance and please reach out if you need more info.
Love the show!
